VANCOUVER, B.C. - For Vancouver residents, it truly was the hottest day ever.
A temperature of 33.8 C was recorded by Environment Canada, making Wednesday the hottest day in Vancouver history. The previous record of 33.3 C was set in 1960.
The record-setting temperature comes as much of the province is hit with sweltering conditions.
And Vancouver was not the only city to shatter its previous temperature record.
Victoria hit a high of 34.0 C, while Abbotsford sizzled at 37.6 C.
